Empowering Lives with Compassion and Faith

DLTC International is a Christian relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to addressing the welfare and rights of vulnerable individuals and families in Uganda. With several years of grassroots practice and officially registered in 2023, DLTC is committed to promoting a society where the rights of all are respected, in alignment with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948.

Our Mission

At DLTC International, our mission is to create lasting, sustainable change for the most marginalized communities, with a particular focus on empowering vulnerable individuals and families. We provide essential humanitarian aid, economic empowerment, legal advocacy, education, medical support, and spiritual guidance, all aimed at improving overall well-being and ensuring equal opportunities for all.

By aligning our efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we are committed to:

  • Eradicating poverty and hunger (SDG 1 and SDG 2),
  • Promoting good health and well-being (SDG 3),
  • Ensuring access to quality education (SDG 4),
  • Achieving gender equality through economic empowerment and legal advocacy for all (SDG 5),
  • Fostering partnerships for sustainable development (SDG 17).

In addition, Faith and spiritual support play a significant role in our approach. We believe in fostering hope, resilience, and spiritual well-being as a means to empower individuals, aligning with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and the spiritual dimension of well-being.

Our Vision

Our vision is a world where every vulnerable individuals and their families have access to the opportunities and resources they need to live a dignified, empowered, and secure life. We envision communities where all lives are free from violence, poverty, and inequality, actively contributing to economic development and benefiting from robust legal protections, supported by a strong sense of faith and hope.

Our Goal

Our goal is to create sustainable, transformative impact in the lives of those we serve, particularly vulnerable individuals and families. We aim to strengthen communities by addressing the root causes of poverty, inequality, and spiritual disconnection, building pathways to economic self-reliance, legal protection, educational access, and spiritual resilience.

Our Impact

DLTC International’s programs have already made a measurable difference:

Hundreds of individuals have gained financial independence through skills training and entrepreneurship support.

  • Vulnerable families have received emergency food and material aid, reducing the impacts of hunger.
  • Legal advocacy has helped survivors of violence access justice and reclaim their lives.
  • Children have been given the chance to pursue quality education, paving the way for brighter futures.
  • Local communities have found spiritual guidance, which has empowered individuals to face challenges with renewed hope and resilience.

By addressing both the physical and spiritual needs of marginalized individuals and working towards long-term, systemic solutions, DLTC International is building stronger, more resilient communities. Our impact continues to grow as we empower vulnerable individuals and families to transform their lives holistically, contributing to a more equitable, sustainable, and spiritually grounded world.

Transforming

Our principles

Humanity

We are driven by compassion and love for all people, aiming to relieve suffering wherever it exists. As it is written, “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14). Our work reflects this command, seeking to embody Christ’s love in serving the vulnerable.

Honesty

We uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all our operations and relationships. “The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy” (Proverbs 12:22). Honesty guides our actions as we seek to be trustworthy stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

Transparency

We are accountable to our beneficiaries, donors, and partners, ensuring clear communication and responsible stewardship of resources. “For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man” (2 Corinthians 8:21).

Development Partnership

We believe in building partnerships with both local communities and international organizations to create sustainable change and lasting impact. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor” (Ecclesiastes 4:9). By working together, we strengthen our efforts to bring about lasting transformation.

Partnering for Impact

We partner with a range of local and international charity organizations to amplify our impact. Together, we work towards achieving a world where vulnerable individuals are protected, empowered, and able to thrive in a just and equitable society.
